Immediately following his graduation, Dr. McStanton was appointed to the medical school faculty of Mount Sinai School of Medicine as Assistant Professor and very soon became the Head of the Division of Reproductive Immunology, entrusted a responsibility for all student and resident education in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
As Chief Resident of the clinic Dr. McStantonwas recognized with the Dr. Solomon Silver Award in Clinical Medicine, which is awarded each year to “that junior member of The Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center staff who best represents the ability to employ the theoretical advances in research & development of reproductive medicine to the real-cases practice of the modern clinical medicine.”
